1. About Kino and these Terms
Kino (“we,” “us,” “our”) is an online service operated by an independent sole proprietor based in Brazil. Kino provides two apps under one account: Kino, a storyboard-first AI video generator built on the MiniMax H3 model, and Kino Scribe, an automatic video-captioning tool. These Terms govern your use of both apps at getkino.io.

By creating an account (whether with an email and password or by signing in with Google or Discord) you agree to these Terms, the Content Policy, and the Privacy Policy, and you confirm that you meet the age requirement below. If you do not agree, do not use Kino.
2. Who can use Kino
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create an account or use Kino. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.
- You can create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Google or Discord.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- One person, one account. Please don't create multiple accounts to get around limits or free credits.
3. Your responsibility for how you use Kino
Kino is a creative tool. You are solely responsible for the content you create with it, the material you upload to it, and how you use what it produces.Kino does not pre-approve your prompts; uploaded images and video are automatically screened, but no automated system is a substitute for your own judgment. A use that isn't blocked by an automated check is not thereby permitted. Using the tool within these Terms, the Content Policy, and the law is your responsibility, and misuse may result in the loss of your account (Section 10).
4. Acceptable use
The full content rules live in the Content Policy, which is part of these Terms. The following are absolute. They apply to prompts, uploads, and generated output, in any style and any framing, with zero tolerance:
- no content depicting or sexualizing anyone under 18, real or fictional (violations are reported to the relevant authorities);
- no illegal content and no use of Kino for any unlawful purpose;
- no non-consensual sexual content;
- no sexual content involving incest, bestiality, necrophilia, or the sexualization of rape or abuse, in any framing;
- no creating videos of any real, identifiable person (including celebrities and public figures) without their permission; no uploading imagery of a real person without their consent; and no depicting a real person in sexual, deceptive, or defamatory contexts (deepfakes of any kind).
You're responsible for having the rights to any image, video, or audio you upload as a reference. You must also comply with the use restrictions of the MiniMax H3 Community License, under which the underlying video model is licensed. We review reported content. You can report a problem with any of your own renders directly in the product (the “Report a problem” action on a finished take), and anyone can report content by email (Section 11).
5. Credits and payments
- Kino runs on prepaid credits, denominated in USD.
- Credits are purchased through Stripe. If you're checking out from Brazil, Stripe charges your card in BRL and credits your balance the equivalent USD amount. We never see or store your card number.
- New accounts receive a welcome grant of free credits once you verify your email address, no card required to try the product. The exact amount is shown in the product and may change over time.
- Credits do not expire.
- The exact price of a render is always shown to you before you start it. You're never charged a surprise amount afterward.
- Purchased credits are non-refundable except as described in the Refund Policy or as required by consumer-protection law. Promotional or free credits have no cash value.
6. How rendering is charged
- We only charge for renders that finish successfully. If a render fails on our side, you are not charged for it.
- If you abort a render while it's running, you're charged only for the portion of the run that had already executed at the moment you aborted it (never more than the original quoted price), and the rest of the reserved amount is released back to your balance. The abort confirmation always shows both the executed-portion charge and the full quoted price before you confirm.
- Failed renders are never partially charged; partial charging only ever applies to a render you chose to abort.
7. Ownership of your content
You own the assets you upload and the videos you generate with Kino, subject to (a) the rights you actually had to what you uploaded, and (b) the terms of the MiniMax H3 Community License that the underlying model is licensed under. We don't claim ownership over your projects, prompts, uploads, or outputs. We use your content only to operate the service for you. We don't use it to train AI models, we don't publish it, and we don't show it to other users.
8. Third-party model attribution
Kino generates video using the MiniMax H3 model. The MiniMax H3 Community License requires us to display “Powered by MiniMax H3” in the product interface. You'll see it in the footer of every page. This attribution is a license requirement, not something we can remove on request.
9. Service availability
Rendering runs on third-party cloud GPU infrastructure. We do our best to keep the service available and renders running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and features, pricing, and available render options may change over time.
10. Termination
You can stop using Kino and delete your account at any time, either yourself (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by contacting us. See the Privacy PolicySections 5 to 6 for exactly what deletion does and what we're required to keep. Violating these Terms or the Content Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without prior warning depending on severity. Anything involving minors results in immediate permanent termination and a report to the relevant authorities. Where an account is terminated for violations, remaining credits may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law.
11. Content complaints and removal
To report content you believe violates these Terms, the Content Policy, the law, or your rights (including intimate imagery of you shared without your consent), email support@getkino.io. We review reports promptly and remove violating content.
12. Limitation of liability
Kino is provided “as is.” AI-generated output can be inaccurate, unexpected, or imperfect. You are responsible for reviewing anything you export or publish. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount of credits you've purchased in the 3 months before the claim.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute will be handled under Brazilian law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do; material changes will be reasonably notified in-product, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
